In October of 2022, I led an introductory workshop for the Health eMatters conference. It wasn't recorded but several people have asked for the slide set. I converted it to pdf and have posted it here for those folks to see.

The presentation defined inspiration porn, then examined the use of checklists. Ultimately I concluded that simple is best and suggested Rumi's three gates - true, necessary, kind. Then we looked at some considerations around truth, privacy, and trauma. The final part of the workshop was to take three experiences that I had and looked at how to tell stories ethically around those experiences: Male breast cancer; patient engagement gone wrong; and lung cancer stigma.
